In the time that I took to get to this thread, your story had disappeared from that link and it took me awhile to track it down. Further confusion because your Man Who wasn't There story had been replaced by a story of a man who disappears... I'd say this was my favourite of your stories so far - I've copied it into Word for another more careful read, but I liked the idea of the social misfit artist and his ghastly creation. This is a new link to the story which is now in The Ghastly Door's second archive: The Man Who Wasn't ThereMeanwhile, Sniper's Night is now here in the first story archive: Sniper's Night(You'll need to search way down the pages to get to these)

This is a new link to the story which is now in The Ghastly Door's second archive: The Man Who Wasn't ThereI said I'd read it more carefully, and as I've just found a spare 45 minutes before evening shift, I did. This is definitely my favourite of the 5 stories of yours that I've read, Ben. I like the pace, the mood, the viewpoint character - and it's really quite nasty. I think this one would have fitted happily alongside anything in FC, The Black Books, One Eyed Grey or Nemonymous.

Cheers rog, glad you liked it. it's probably the 'latest' story written out of those published. I hope we'll see more like that. By the way, Ben, are copies of Tales From the Smoking Room still available. That one slipped under my radar when I had so little time for 'net things.
