.. but my feeling was that its style and content probably bear comparison to Des' Lewis's Nemonymous anthologies. Oh wow, Rog, that's a compliment indeed! I must say it looks tremendous "in the flesh" with your cover artwork. Thanks! When I saw it in the flesh, my first thought was that it really does have the look and feel of the great old printed zines of the 80s and 90s.

I suggested the similarity to Coral, and she suggested it was probably due to some of the ficion being non-genre. There's also an intentional quirkiness about the layout - this was also true of issue one, though I didn't pick up on it at the time - and no one else commented on it, curiously. That quirkiness brings to mind the experimental layouts of underground magazines of the '60s and '70s. None of this would mean a thing if the standard of the writing wasn't high. But it is.

Well, I've been doing my usually beating myself up thing over a misunderstanding with Pete Tennant when he reviewed issue 2 on his mspace blog. I got the wrong end of the stick and trashed him for giving a bad review, which he didn't!!!! Then I had to appologise for myself, yet again. So, I've been wondering whether I'm really cut out for this interacting with other human beings thing, it's no secret any more that I have a bad case of ptsd, which makes things extra awkward. While I'm pondering though, I WILL do issue three. We've got so much excellent stuff for it, it's going to be massive, it really would be a shame not to. Caroline keeps me grounded, and Roger is an absolute tower of strength, as is my friend. So I'll stop wittering and get on with it!!! Submissions are still open, we have fiction, both male and female, some excellent art, a really relevant interview. Some of the fiction is from the folk on this board, so it's GOT to be good I'll try to get no 3 out by June at the latest. I'm not sure what sort of time this bowel resection is going to take out of my schedule, I'll be seeing the surgeon tomorrow, but after that I hope to be able to give a proper timescale for the closing of subs and publishing. So if anyone here, or anyone you know has anything to consider, please drop it in to us, usual email, see my profile, as we intend to make 3 a absolute bumper of an issue. coral x

Coral - I've PMed you about your "wobble" so I won't post it again here - just read my message and GO ON AND GET ON WITH IT, GIRL!!! The key issue for me is the same one I've been chewing over at Pantechnicon whilst we've been having problems over there - just exactly what does it mean to the people who've got stories, etc, in there to get their work published like that? The answer? A hell of a lot! So when you're an editor, you've got to get over the wobbles, take the bad reviews on the chin, and do it for your writers and readers (the ones who DO enjoy it). Ben - glad you're one of the readers who's enjoying it!

Bloody hell, the surgeon has decided that it has spread further than he expected and has sent me back to the gastro consultant for yet another round of tests before he can operate. I am REALLY fed up with that. However it does mean that I now have no particular timescale to work to, as yet anyway, so can just get on, which is what I'll do, starting now. So, as a rough guide, submissions will close for issue three (although we're always open to submissions for filing away for further issues) at the end of March, and we will publish by the first of June. We'd like more artwork as well as stories this time, please and thankyou!
I know you've been under the weather for a while now mrs C, nothing serious, I hope?

I know you've been under the weather for a while now mrs C, nothing serious, I hope? You'll probably regret asking that Coral - once I start to talk about health issues there's no stopping me! Well .... I've got a doctor's appointment this afternoon to see if he can explain why I've had rampant diarrhoea (is that spelt right?) for over a week. I thought initially it was just my irritable bowel syndrome, but it's showing no signs of letting up, so the doc's going to have to have a look at me. I fear yet another colonoscopy will be required ... (and I can empathise with your bowel problems, Coral) Then, next week, I've got an appointment at the rather worryingly-named pain clinic - I wonder what they do to people there! (that's for my fibromyalgia BTW) Funny how TTMC is run by a couple of old crocks who seem to be falling apart! ;D All the best with your bowel job anyway, Coral.
