Gosh, I didn't expect to see all these posts on the thread! Honest, I haven't been lurking!
There are two reasons to be cheerful, actually. One is that Des Lewis is bringing out his new (and I think, sadly, his last) anthology,
Horror Without Victims, and the table of contents will reveal that a certain misbegotten wretch of an occasional forum administrator has fulfilled a long-held dream of having a story in one of those anthologies.
The other reason for cheerfulness is that I'll be taking FC 7 to the printers next week. I did tell Craig that I wanted to finish it last weekend (which feels like a year ago now) but I'm a wimp and kept falling asleep, so I didn't make it.
I wondered whether I should be posting about these two epoch-making publishing events (Richard Murdoch never did anything like either of these publications, a pathetic neo that man) on different threads, but in the event I figured it would be less confusing to keep it here.
This issue of FC 7
has been kept to under a 100 pages, in fact it's still magazine- rather than digest-sized. (I liked the idea of a digest, too, Craig, but as I said in that email last week, it turned out that the College contract out for their Perfect Bindings. And Des's point that using Lulu as printer would result in high postage costs was well-taken).
This post is getting too wordy now, so here's some piccies, if I can remember how to do this.
Love that Tony Lovell cover.
I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how other authors have risen to the challenge of producing horror stories which meet the requirement of the anthology, namely avoiding that staple of most horror stories, victimization.

Now I know anyone interested will have sidestepped the business of the sealed workshop and viewed the
Filthy Creations promo videos elsewhere, but the final FC 7 promo video awaits the delivery of the actual magazines. Here's just a taster. The first page of FC7:
Table of contents will appear at same time as the promotional video. If you've seen illustrations of your story in those previous videos, then you'll know your story will be in either FC 7 or FC 8 - and remember both these magazines have been produced together and will appear within about a month of the other.
This post has been too long!
