Rebuilding the old Haunted Dolls House site - the original was deleted by the imbecilic internet provider Orange - is an ongoing and lengthy process. The New Dolls House will contain a lot from the old one, the fiction reviews, the galleries and slideshows. But added to that will be more about new fiction, links to this site's members' websites, etc. It'll be more of a promotional site for new work. I hope to make something which integrates the new and the old, as is happening here at this board. Very slowly, I think this board's beginning to develop a character of its own. Clicking on the screen grab above will take you to the slideshow for Pandora's Box, G W Pabst's silent movie starring Louise Brooks, once described as the most beautiful woman in the world. The slideshow covers the last part of the film, where Brooks shares a Christmas dinner with Jack the Ripper. In a discussion of Gary Fry's collection, The Impelled and Other Head Trips, Des Lewis admitted to a fondness for the lady since childhood - a fondness I share. So as I woke early and couldn't get back to sleep, it seemed a good idea to add this slideshow to the Dolls House next. Click on that picture to view it. WARNING: Many of the links at the New Dolls House don't work yet. Many pages still need to be added. But there are a few that work, including the one to Charles Black's Mortbury Press, reached by clicking the cover for the breathlessly-awaited Fourth Black Book of Horror. Hope you like it.

Thanks so much, Rog. That's really lovely. And thanks for the mention on that page.

Glad you like it, Des. It was fun. A few notes for any as wants to read 'em: While adding more to this forum, I want to emphasize integrating new and old. Behind all new work, there's the earlier fiction that started the new writers on their way. All a bit obvious, that, of course. The various sites are going to reflect each other to a point. A post here can become a web page at the Dolls House or vice versa. I remember some original short horror films presented at Thomas Ligotti Online. If it's OK with Dr Bantham and the filmmakers, it might be possible to host those films here, too. If not, well, the section's been created for anyone who can use it in future. And the Cone Zero write-up will be posted at TLO and the Dolls House, and so on. Anyway, you get the idea. Sometimes it takes a while to reach the new Dolls House pages hosted at Black Apple, a free UK host. But I'm also replicating the pages at Yahoo Geocities and I'll be looking for others.
