Above is an illustration for A Night at the Opera by D F Lewis - hope you like it, Des - which will appear in FC5. I hope I got the new mag title right above; forgot it last time I posted. And Des's story title's been abbreviated for purposes of this post. I've been looking at some of the recent discussion with interest, and I'm sorry to see there's disagreement that's maybe got a bit heated. I think it was David Riley who once wrote in a PM to me that the Vault seemed a place without acrimony. It occurs to me that David was a noted contributor to 'seventies horror, but these days has to depend on the small press. So does Ramsey Campbell. And in a less noted way, so was I. Anyway, here's a blatant plug for FC5 (which will also have one of my stories in it - wish the smileys hadn't gone awol). There are now 4 completed drawings including Ade Salmon's lovely cover and illustration for mine.

Above is an illustration for the chapter of Odalisque by P F Jefferies (and I hope I've spelled Peter's surname right here ) ( later edit: No, I didn't - it's PF Jeffery. ) which will appear in From the Workshop of Filthy Creation issue 5. Clicking on the picture will take you to a Flickr page where a larger version can be viewed by clicking the "all sizes" button above it. This sketch was mainly done at least a couple of months ago, but I added a few tweaks this morning, and the tinting. Art critics might appreciate the careful use of chiaroscuro... On the other hand, art critics better stay away. * Maybe the colour will need a little adjustment for printing. Peter's novel uses a combination of erotica and alternate/futuristic fantasy, and I particularly liked this chapter with its atmospheric crossing of The Grey Plain. Another drawing now nearing completion is for James Stanger's W.E.B., an offbeat horror story told from an unusual viewpoint. *Militant feminists also better stay away if some of us value our hides and other things, and I've just noticed Caroline online... and Coral's no stranger to this site, either.

I don't think either of us could be described as "militant feminists"! I was actually just thinking when I saw that - Coral and I have some pretty naughty stuff in TTMC this coming issue. But it looks like FC is going to give us a run for our money too! ;D

Oh now that is a VERY heated picture Rog lot's of "punishment" involved in that...nicely done. Oh and I am really excitied to see the illistration to my story

Oh and I am really excited to see the illustration to my story Tonight I reached the last stages for the illustation for WEB, James, but it's a bit too late to get to work in Photoshop, so that'll have to wait till tomorrow. Wow! BTW, Jeffery is the correct spelling. Thanks,Des. I've corrected the spelling in my post above. Apologies to Peter. He's taken me to task over getting his name wrong before. That is some picture. Thanks Rog! For the record, though, my surname is spelled JEFFERY. Glad you like it, Peter. Funny that, you don't call me a militant feminist when I'm dishing up the dinner I'm too busy trying to stop you pinching all the runner beans off my plate.
