It's a bit of a problem.
I really am the world's worst with names - notoriously bad at it - everything I ever named went down like the Titanic or was retrospectively seen to be utterly stupid. So. I wouldn't want to name the magazine and will happily support whatever comes up. Are you thinking David of something like:
Mary Shelley's house of FILTHY CREATIONS.
That's sort of what i am thinking about - maintaining some sort of continuity but easing away from the slightly negative connotations. Again i can only reiterate that I vastly lean to keeping the name FC until Sendings and Death Tableaux are completely serialized - but this a is just a selfish desire on my part .

How about "Mary Shelley's House of Filthy Creations" or "Frankenstein's House of Filthy Creations" or some permutation on those lines? Thanks for your input, David. Actually you might have something here. If some people react the wrong way to the name, it's because there's not enough awareness of the name's origin. I've just now typed and deleted several small paragraphs as I think I now know how to work this promo thing but it seems to be more difficult to explain than to do. One thing seems clear, whether for reasons of continuity or affection for its sheer dreadfulness, people don't want the name of Filthy Creations to be entirely lost. Next week is half-term, so happily I'll be doing one shift a day instead of the usual two. Almost like a holiday with more time for the important things...

And perhaps include a quote from Shelley's novel to add emphasis somewhere early in the magazine. Using her name would add to the magazine's literary roots too.

"In a solitary chamber, or rather cell, at the top of the house, and separated from all the other apartments by a gallery and staircase, I kept my workshop of filthy creation."Mary Woolstonecraft Shelley, From: Frankenstein: or, A Modern PrometheusBelieve it or not we used this one somewhere, but whether on a website or in the magazine, I can't find it now! I've also just tried searching 5 pages of websites providing quotes from the book, but only found this after including the words in an actual Google search. P.S. If anyone's baffled by the big box which might or might not have appeared at the foot of this site, I logged in to 'admin' to figure out where the Shelley quote should go... and got distracted adding a chat room (which apparently I'd left half-done on a previous visit). *sigh* Right, time to get back to real work!

Finished the second drawing last night. Now to scan, tweak it and shove it in a movie. Might be an idea to get dressed first...
Deleted the live chat box from this site this morning. For all I know it might be slowing up some users access.
