Hey everyone! My name's Wendell, presently resident in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and I post over at the British Horror Films forum as "Ortega" (named after the wizened henchman in THE INCREDIBLY STRANGE CREATURES WHO STOPPED LIVING AND BECAME MIXED-UP ZOMBIES, but someone once thought it might have been for the former Sandinista leader--now I'm going with M.R. James' misfit Boy Scout). As a lover of classic pulp myself and a writer who's been published in the first BHF book with Franklin and CorpseCandle, I thoroughly applaud the existence of this site and look forward to exploring further! Oh, and THE BEAST MUST DIE rules, do you hear me? Lockhart's great and it's one of Tom "Duggan" Chadbon's finest hours! I also write the occasional review (there are a couple coming up in a day or two) at www.angelfire.com/ct3/ortega/decline .

Hello Wendell and welcome, This is a board which probably still needs to establish its own character, but we're working on that problem. I missed saying hello to the members who joined during my recent long absence. My apologies for that. Your link brought up a page which says you've broken the internet (!) but I trimmed the last word from the URL and got this: Lazaro's WorldYou won't believe this, but I trimmed a full stop from the end of your original link above, and I got a blog called Beat Them Gherkins, posted by a keen cook who likes listening to Tony Hancock. That's good enough for me! Maybe those other links just need / added to the end? Chris Wood made a great job of those BHF Books of Horror, and I need to check to see if they're linked here. Meanwhile, if you're expecting an argument over the sheer splendidness of The Beast Must Die, you're doomed to disapointment. As far as I'm concerned you're preaching to the converted, and any excuse for a trailer: Feel free to link or post reviews here as well, if you want. Rog

Very new to this, normally everything I write has a chorus.

Very new to this, normally everything I write has a chorus. Oops! I almost forgot to ask. What type of songs do you write, Penny? That's at least two musicians among the members here, now.
