The Upturned Glass is a 1947 British drama film directed by Lawrence Huntington and starring James Mason, Rosamund John and Pamela Kellino. Mason is a prominent neurosurgeon who tells his students how a man murders the woman he believes to be guilty of killing his wife. Revealing more of the story would be criminal. This one's a slow-burner but builds to real edge-of-the-seat viewing and is another sadly-neglected classic. Intelligent script, good direction, pacing, acting, very suspenseful. Stars James Mason, Rosamund John, Pamela Mason (listed as Pamela Kellino, she met James Mason on the set of I Met a Murderer, an affair ensued and they married. She's also credited as co-writer with John Monaghan). Director Lawrence Huntingdon. The Upturned Glass at IMDB
