The flickering should stop by the end of the opening titles. Video blocked in Germany for soundtrack reasons. Starring Louise Brooks, once said to be the most beautiful woman in the world. The story of a society climber who leaves the New World to fall into prostitution in London, then meets a grim end at the hands of Jack the Ripper. Possibly the most 'beautifully' filmed murder in the history of cinema. Directed by the legendary G W Pabst, this one could be an eye-opener for those who haven't previously explored silent films. Be warned, though, it's a bit of an epic at over two hours. For those impatient to see the Jack the Ripper sequence it begins at approximately 1 hour 47 minutes into the film. www.imdb.com/title/tt0018737/
