If only I could have a big win on the lottery this weekend I might be bidding on the following from the late, great Forry Ackerman's estate (info copied from Fantastic Literature ebulletin):
Forrest J Ackerman, the grand old man of science fiction passed away earlier in the year and now his stunnng memorabilia collection is on the auction block.
Thousands of items, including the Count Dracula ring worn by Bela Lugosi in the 1931 horror classic "Dracula," the vampire cape Lugosi worn for decades — even the actor's outfit from the "worst film ever made," Ed Wood's cheesy "Plan 9 From Outer Space" — are going up for bid. So are such notable pieces as a signed, first-edition copy of Mary Shelley's novel "Frankenstein" and a first-edition copy of Bram Stoker's "Dracula" that was signed not only by Stoker but also Lugosi, Boris Karloff and numerous other horror film notables. We will be watching events unfold with envy!

Now, I thought old Bela was buried in his original Dracula cape and ring. I'll be disappointed to learn he wasn't after believing this since childhood.

'Lugosi was buried wearing one of the Dracula stage play costumes, per the request of his son and fourth wife'
Good old wikipedia. No ring apparently

I know Sir Christopher Lee (How I wish they'd made him a count instead of a knight) wore a replica of Lugosi's ring as a tribute in some of the Hammer films.
Actually, poor old Bela was in such reduced circumstances when he went, with no power with the studios, so I can well believe he wasn't buried with any of the original Universal props/costumes.

(How I wish they'd made him a count instead of a knight)
One of the best lines I have read in awhile
