I can't stop buying books, Lobo - much to the consternation of my husband when he sees our credit card bill! Latest acquisitions: Des' "Cern Zoo" weirdmonger.blog-city.com/the_cern_zoo_page.htmReally enjoying this - I reckon it could turn out to be the best Nemonymous anthology yet! I've recently been delving into old comic books too. Dark Horse have an "Archive Series" where they're re-publishing old comic books. Just got Vol 1 of "Boris Karloff's Tales of Mystery", which collects the two "Thriller" comics plus the first two "Tales of Mystery" ones - all with original artwork and lettering but nicely presented in a classy-looking (if expensive) hardback. And I've just got a signed copy of the Charles L Grant edited "Gallery of Horror" on eBay - less than a tenner! Haven't started reading that one yet though. Fairly recent acquisitions which are nearing the top of my "to be read" pile: Gary McMahon "How To Make Monsters" Simon Strantzas "Beneath The Surface" John L Probert "The Catacombs of Fear"

No, I'm not really into graphic novels either. I'm just a fan of Boris Karloff's "Thriller" series on TV, which led to me buying one of the original comics, and then buying this new version. The only other graphic novels I possess are Bryan Talbot's "Alice in Sunderland" which is absolutely superb (but definitely not horror - more like a cross between fantasy and social history), and Clive Barker's "Son of Celluloid" which I got in a charity shop and didn't enjoy at all when I read it. If I could find some nice Lovecraftian-style or MR James-style graphic novels I'd love them though - but I don't know if anyone has ever done such a thing?

I think you'd realy like it . It has a few references to Machen, HPL, Ludwig II. of Bavaria , etc. Here's a screencap from the prologue to "Sirius Rising" Here's a screencap from the original "Swimming in Blood" by Sean Philips and of course, things like this just make the seires that much more entertaining
