Including 'Whispers From A Shattered Forum' Des - I just noticed the title of your story in that "She Brings You Tea and Oranges". That wasn't inspired by a certain Leonard Cohen song was it?

Nice review! Nice site too. Do we know who the "Grim Blogger" is by any chance?

That's a super little article, and a nice bit of recognition for the work that went into compiling the ark

Cover by Brad Foster (copyright reverts to him)
Back cover by F. G. Cooper (1911, public domain)
Art by Terry Jeeves, Sheryl Birkhead (copyrights revert to them) Recently received, this November 2008 (issue 30) copy of It Goes On The Shelf (better known as IGOTS) by Ned Brooks.
Ned is sent a miscellany of published items, small-press and others, by - well, anyone who knows him, really. And a lot of people, pro-writers and fannish, are familiar with his magazine.
IGOTS is an exhaustive listing of these books, detailing the writers and artists, work contained and the production values (type of paper, etc.). These days Ned prefers to publish IGOTS online, but when I sent him a copy of Filthy Creations some time ago and mentioned that I prefered actual printed books and magazines, he very kindly sent me printed copies of the magazine.
Issue 30 arrived in December, making it a pleasant and surprising Christmas present. You can study it for yourself by clicking this link: It Goes On The Shelf issue 30.
Heartened also to see a cartoon by the Editor of the long-running Erg magazine, Terry Jeeves, about half-way down the page.

I'm glad this long thread is still here. The basest of all pulps, I contend.

Please look after my scans when I'm gone. I now no longer own any of them as hard copies.

I'm also wondering how best to tackle adding it to the other (FC and TTMC Magazine) site. How long have I got...? That's a worrying thought. So much to do. But it's all enormous fun.

There's something intrinsically and deeply horrific about empty carnivals
