p Caroline sends her regards on your Facebook, Rog. Hi to both of you. ;D This is a bit worrying about FaceBook. I signed out of FaceBook two or three years ago (not sure how long exactly). I did something to decommission the blog. Not sure of the exact term, but I believed that it was no longer active and no longer visible. Think about it. A person with social problems using a social network? I have to edit most of my posts because I think I've put my foot in my mouth! Anyway, I continued to get messages from FaceBook but most were questionable. Once I got messages or friendship suggestions from 4 people, two of them I knew damn well wouldn't contact me. I was very puzzled, then found this very long thread at Topix Forums: FaceBook Friend Suggestions: How Does it Know. It's a strange thread. Among other things people report getting Friend Suggestions from divorced partners who haven't contacted them in years and aren't likely to. Now I'm wondering whether to log into FaceBook one more time and delete the site for once and all. Or is that a really unfriendly thing to do? One suggestion is that FB examines your address book to get these suggestions. It still begs the question how does it find a name/address you've no longer got? Best to all, Rog

Always have your best in mind, Des I think FaceBook is beyond most of us, Des. Funny really, in that George Orwell book, people whispered in the shadows where Big Brother wouldn't find them. Who'd have thought he'd go through your emails to find Friends for you on FaceBook? ;D I'm not really paranoid (well, OK...) FaceBook just drives me up the wall because there seems no getting away from it. Hmm... shall I be a devil and do what you suggest? Can I post pictures on FaceBook? Life is full of these complicated questions.
