Superb idea, Des - I'm really glad you've done this! Haven't time to listen to any of them just yet, but I certainly will do asap. I do love live readings. I go to as many as possible. It's a pity Ramsey Campbell et al don't seem to do the "horror roadshow" things they used to do - at least, not as often as they did anyway. And as to your request for requests at the bottom of the site page, Des, you can bet I'll be making requests for you to read some of my favourite DFL pieces soon!

Thanks, Caroline. There are up to about 2000 DFL stories to choose from, including those in the 'Weirdmonger' book!

Ah, a problem Des - when I try to access the Ligotti Online ones it asks me to log in. So are these only available to members of that site/forum?

Yes, I'm afraid so, Caroline, but I'm planning to do some more outside their kind jurisdiction. It is actually easy to join TLO, if you so desire, however. Most of my time is spent there. And there are many general horror and non-specific threads. des

ok, when I click on the appropriate link a little message tells me that additional plug-ins are required to be able to hear the reading. When I request a search for available plug-ins another message tells me that no plug-ins are available. Frustrating to say the least, am I doing something wrong?

Ah, a problem Des - when I try to access the Ligotti Online ones it asks me to log in. So are these only available to members of that site/forum? Des has already answered this one, but I'd like to add my own recommendation for Thomas Ligotti Online. It's great to investigate pulps and new writing, but the TLO site has its own delights. A few of us here are already members. Filthy Creations, Charles Black's Black Books of Horror and D F Lewis's Nemonymous volumes and collections like Weirdmonger have been promoted there. It's a great site with friendly members, and as easy to join as this one. ok, when I click on the appropriate link a little message tells me that additional plug-ins are required to be able to hear the reading. When I request a search for available plug-ins another message tells me that no plug-ins are available. Frustrating to say the least, am I doing something wrong? I'm not sure what plug-ins those are. But if you go a little further down the page, you'll find a 'Download' link. OOPS! Suddenly the TLO pages have disappeared! However, these two links to Des's readings of his stories are on a different server and you can download them. I'd already downloaded a bundle of them last night and am now listening happily to Diary of a 21st Century Drunk which I've burned to CD. Bloodbone by D F LewisDiary of a 21st Century DrunkHope I've got these right. I also heard another author's audio story linked here the other night, so must find that.

Hmmm, I'd feel a little cheeky joining it when I've never actually read any Ligotti, so not sure about that. Also, when I've taken a look at it, the forum scrolls up/down very slowly for me which puts me off, and also it has a dark background which I find difficult to read from (though the writing's nice and big!). I'll have a think about it, but not so sure. They might not like me joining just to access those stories and then not using the forum much. I can access the ones which are on another server OK though.

Dr Bantham would love anyone to join just to listen to my stories! He has been today trying to improve their positioning on the site - so the links have just changed (relevant to Coral's problem?). And, Caroline, you can change the site style easily to 'Autumnal' - lovely and bright. Failing that, I've started uploading som readings outside of TLO. I don't know if you can access them? Sorry for any teething problems, des Des has already answered this one, but I'd like to add my own recommendation for Thomas Ligotti Online. Ooo, now you're tempting me again Des - both to join yet another forum, and to go and download the ones which are elsewhere. But, needs must when the devil drives, I have to go and cook tea first ....

I still haven't had time to download and listen to any of these yet, Des. I fully intend to though - should have a bit more time over the Easter break I hope.
