Does anyone know what's up with Pantechnicon?
I just tried finding it and got this message:
"Error 403 - Forbidden
"You tried to access a document for which you don't have privileges."

It looks like Panties has been hacked again! Message now on the site from Troo, while she tries to fix it: Website hacked yet again. We apologise for the hassle. It seems that Pantechnicon has become the target of script-kiddies who have nothing better to do than go around destroying other people's websites.
The damage should be repairable, but may take a few days to fix.
In the meantime, you may download PDF back-issues from the links in the menu on the left.
Thank you for sticking with us.
Trudi Topham, Editor, November 2008.
I hope she can put it right! The PDF's are fine, but this now means that my interviews with Charles Black and with Peter Duffell about "The House That Dripped Blood" - which didn't make it to the PDF - are completely unobtainable at present. Never mind. I still have them safely on disc here, so they're not gone for ever. Phew! Lobo - Pantechnicon is a not-for-profit free-to-download sf/fantasy/horror ezine which I'm a staff writer for (www.pantechnicon.net - when it's working). I mainly do interviews and articles, namely: INTERVIEWS Stephen Gallagher Ramsey Campbell DF Lewis Charles Black Peter Duffell (director) ARTICLES Bryan Talbot (artist) Ray Harryhausen I was going to do some links to my things there which might be of interest once I have a little time, but obviously I'll now have to wait till Troo's fixed this!

Just an update for you on the Pantechnicon situation. Last time I checked (yesterday - haven't had the chance to look today) Troo still hadn't managed the fix the site. Also, the next issue was due out today - that's obviously not happening now and it looks like we'll have to postpone that issue till the New Year. But all will be well at Panties eventually, I'm sure!

What's Pantechnicon? This was what I was trying to post when my computer's CPU chip burned out... about a year ago, it feels. Anyway, here it is at last... click on the pictures to reach the Pantechnicon site. Text copied from the site. What is Pantechnicon? We are a quarterly e-Zine founded in 2006, dedicated to finding and publishing new writing talent. Our genres are Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror, and we will consider any stories, articles or reviews that fit our submission guidelines. Our e-Zine is available online while it is current, but also as downloadable PDFs for current and back-issues. Pantechnicon is free. All we ask is that if you like it you tell other people about it. We intend to keep both site and 'zine free from advertising for as long as possible, so if you like what you read, why not join us in the Forums, Friend us on MySpace, or catch up with us on Facebook and let us know all our effort is appreciated?

.. But I'm afraid the site's STILL not working as it should - there should be reviews and all kinds of online content on there too. My understanding is that Troo is now looking for new hosting site. I'll let you all know when it's sorted.

Just a quickie as I'm in a rush as usual. Just wanted to let you all know that Panties is back online again, and we're working our socks off trying to get the next issue out in March.

I'm happy to announce that after a long, long wait - and a great deal of blood, sweat and tears on behalf of the editorial team - the next issue of Pantechnicon will be published before the end of March! Here's a sneak preview (showing the contents) of our amazing cover by Richard Dyke (sorry about the size of the image - can't seem to get it any smaller): You'll notice that this is a special bumper fiction-only issue too! You'll also notice a fellow Filthy Creator amongst the authors - well done Ben!

I just remembered that my issue would be going to what's become a non-existent email address, so I just nipped over to the site and resubscribed with my new email. Anyone else who wants to, just click here and scroll down the page a bit. The subscribe link is on the right. By the way, I know what you mean about not being able to get the picture any smaller. I was forced to use Photobucket earlier today because Flickr had the hiccups. The Photobucket picture editor just don't work and I had to reduce the image before I uploaded it. Swizz!

Do you mean the RSS feeds, what ever they are? Troo was handling that "techie" side of things and since she's not around at the mo, I'm afraid things like that just won't be getting done currently. I hope normal service will be resumed shortly, but I'm not sure when.
